SERVICES
Laser scanning is the core service we offer. By using a highly specialized laser scanner that takes 2 million points of data per second, we can quickly and accurately create as-builts with a level of detail of 1/8" or greater.
By scanning your building site before construction and taking scans throughout the construction process, you can create a highly accurate digital record of the building. 3D photos and scans can be sent to the project management team in the office to quickly and easily report field conditions.
Once we have scanned your space, the data will be contained in a raw point cloud that will serve as a 3D representation of the scanned data. HDR cameras can capture your space in full, HD color. From here, we can deliver the raw data, or virtual walkthroughs and more.

It can be a challenge to get equipment, piping, electrical and mechanical systems, etc... to all fit in the same space without clashes. By providing highly accurate laser scans of your space that can be brought into BIM, these challenges can be met head-on in the design phase, reducing need for field coordination.
Our talented team of modelers can bring scan data into BIM/Revit and create a model at any level of development (LOD), or any custom level of detail you need. We can deliver a "digital twin" of your space in Revit, an invaluable resource for the design process.
We can laser scan and create 3D models of any object the size of a car or larger. Accuracy of up to 1mm or greater is possible, making it the ideal solution for fabrication, 3D virtual reality/videogames, marketing, or whatever else you may need incredibly detailed, photorealistic models to accomplish.

We saw how laser scanning was rapidly changing how things were getting designed and built, and saw a need for services that cater specifically to the AEC industry. We have spent the last decade working in architectural and engineering offices so we know what architects, engineers, builders and other construction professionals need, and we cater our services to them.
While traditional hand measured as-builts can be inaccurate, leading to errors in construction, laser scanning can deliver results that are accurate to 1/8" or better. Rocky Mountain Scan uses the latest in laser scanning technology to deliver highly accurate solutions to the AEC industry. We can provide any level of service required, from delivering raw point cloud files, to full service BIM modeling, where our experts will use the 3D laser scans we obtain to create highly detailed Revit models for your firm. We strive to make laser scanning accessible to all, and many people find that the prices for our services are more reasonable than expected.
